Internet Safety Reminders Back to School

DSMS students do not forget some very important tips when connected online using your cell phone, gaming device, laptop, iPad, netbook or computer:

1. Do not communicate with people you don't know in person
2. Always tell a trusted adult if you feel uncomfortable about anything
3. Don't share photos, videos, passwords, name, address, phone numbers, school ONLINE
4. Block or report, block or report, block or report
5. Do not send mean text messages or emails
6. Do not create fake social networking pages
7. Do not copy and paste information from online resources
8. Change your passwords often with symbols, numbers or capital letters
9. When in doubt, log out
10. Do not include your name or age in your online identifications such as social networking sites or online games
11. Don't be a cyberbully
12. Stand up for others both off and online

Connect w/ Skype

We will be connecting with other classrooms for our first Mystery Skype connection in the United States.

Tools needed to guess where our mystery classroom is located are:

2. National Atlas clickable maps
3. Clickable World maps
