DSMS students do not forget some very important tips when connected online using your cell phone, gaming device, laptop, iPad, netbook or computer:
- Do not communicate with people you don't know in person
- Always tell a trusted adult if you feel uncomfortable about anything
- Don't share photos, videos, passwords, name, address, phone numbers, school ONLINE
- Block or report, block or report, block or report
- Do not send mean text messages or emails
- Do not create fake social networking pages
- Do not copy and paste information from online resources
- Change your passwords often with symbols, numbers or capital letters
- When in doubt, log out
- Do not include your name or age in your online identifications such as social networking sites or online games
- Don't be a cyberbully
- Stand up for others both off and online
